Here are some pictures I took of the Birthday Girl yesterday! Tonight is the Alabama v. Georgia State football game.  We will be taking Abigail to Tuscaloosa to cheer on the Tide.  Will post pictures next week.  Roll Tide!!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Abigail Kait!!!

Two years ago today, we were at Brookwood Hospital waiting to welcome a little girl into our world. Abigail Kait was born at 3:33 pm on November 17, 2008. We certainly weren't prepared for what came next -- the joy, the love, the sleepless nights. She is such an amazing, beautiful, loving little girl and we are so thankful to have her in our lives. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and the plan that God has for her life. Happy 2nd Birthday, Abigail Kait!

Genius!

Well, Abigail is a genius. :0) This morning while we were getting ready, she said her numbers from 1 to 12 without skipping any and getting them all correct!! I am amazed at how smart she is and how much she has learned in such a short time frame. I can't wait to see what else she comes up with. Tomorrow is the big day -- our little baby will be 2!!!

Parent/Teacher Conference and Birthday

I had a Parent/Teacher Conference for Abigail at Daycare yesterday. We had to say goodbye to Ms. Sincere' and Miss Katrina from her Toddler B class. I hope Ms. Shayla and Ms. Morgan in Twos know what they are in for, especially when Nora Layne (Abigail's best friend) moves up next week. Here are some things I learned about her: She knows some colors -- I knew this one already. She gets the color right about half of the time, especially if it's Yellow, Purple or Green -- apparently those are her favorites. She can count to ten, sort of. She skips 1 and has to count with you, but some times, she would say the number before I did. She can sing the ABC song. Of course, she doesn't get every letter correct (for example, "G" is "C" and " LMNOP " is gibberish ... "P!"), but she knows the tune and tries to say every letter. Also, she is working on potty training in her new class. They are taking her to the potty every hour and they said s

Short update

I just wanted to post an update about taking the pacifier away and Abigail's transition to the Two's room at daycare, as well as a couple of other cute things she has done that I wanted to add. We have been without the pacifier for a week and a few days and she is doing great! I think her main issue with sleeping has been her stuffy nose (she has a sinus infection) because she slept much better last night after being put on antibiotics. She also hasn't asked for the pacifier the last few nights, so that is a big plus! Abigail's transition to the Two's room at daycare actually went really well. Last week, she had the option to go to Two's or back to Toddler on Thursday and Friday and wanted to go to Toddler. I was afraid that this week would be very hard on her. But today, we walked in and after a little whining, she sat down at the table for breakfast and pointed to the door. I asked her what? Do you want to go? No. Do you want Mommy to go? Yes. So, I gathered m

Fall 2010 Update

Fall is here and Abigail is still growing and learning so much every day!! We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Rainsville with cousin Braylon on Oct. 23 (pictures are in the slideshow above). Abigail and Braylon had so much fun! They really enjoyed playing on the playground, looking at the animals, riding on the hayride to the pumpkin patch and picking out their own pumpkin! Abigail wanted her own pumpkin to carry, so we had to search the pumpkin patch to find a small pumpkin for her. I can't wait for next year so that we can take her again! Halloween started for us on Oct. 29 with Abigail's Halloween Party at daycare. The picture of her in her costume above was taken at the party. She had fun playing with her friends in their costumes -- attending the party was Raggedy Ann, Wonder Woman, a Dog, a Pumpkin, a Farmer and a Chicken. I am going to try to get pictures of the other kids from another parent to post on here too. They were all really cute. Saturday, Oct. 30, we attended Tru
