Fall 2010 Update

Fall is here and Abigail is still growing and learning so much every day!!

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in Rainsville with cousin Braylon on Oct. 23 (pictures are in the slideshow above). Abigail and Braylon had so much fun! They really enjoyed playing on the playground, looking at the animals, riding on the hayride to the pumpkin patch and picking out their own pumpkin! Abigail wanted her own pumpkin to carry, so we had to search the pumpkin patch to find a small pumpkin for her. I can't wait for next year so that we can take her again!

Halloween started for us on Oct. 29 with Abigail's Halloween Party at daycare. The picture of her in her costume above was taken at the party. She had fun playing with her friends in their costumes -- attending the party was Raggedy Ann, Wonder Woman, a Dog, a Pumpkin, a Farmer and a Chicken. I am going to try to get pictures of the other kids from another parent to post on here too. They were all really cute.

Saturday, Oct. 30, we attended Trunk or Treat at Geraldine. Nanny and Pawpaw were there and we saw many people we haven't seen in a while. It was nice to catch up with them and let them see Abigail. She didn't get a lot of candy, but we all had a great time. After leaving Trunk or Treat, we went to Meme and Granddaddy's house and got to see more family. I tried to get more pictures of Abigail in her costume, but she wasn't cooperating so the only good one I have is from daycare.

Yesterday, Nov. 1, Abigail started visiting her new classroom at daycare. She is moving up to the Two's room already! I don't think she realizes that she will no longer be able to be in her current classroom, so when she makes the transition next Monday, it may be a hard day (for both of us). She will be on the opposite side of the building and will no longer go to the Infant/Toddler end - so, that may be the hardest part to get used to. It's hard to believe that my little girl is growing up so soon!!!

Also, we took the pacifier away from her on Saturday. She was getting to where she wanted it all the time again and whined when we took it away for the day, so we decided to give her a good reason to be whining about it and took it away. She hasn't had it at all since Saturday morning and is doing pretty well. She isn't sleeping well -- or putting herself back to sleep well -- but overall, I am proud of her so far. I hope we are almost over the worst part and will be back to normal by the end of the week. Next step --- Potty Training!

Finally, Abigail's Second Birthday Party will be on November 20, 2010 at Meme & Granddaddy's house -- we decided to have it here again and maybe next year we will be able to have it someplace fun for all the kids to play! I am mailing out invitations this week and will post the invitation on here next week. Hope you all can make it.
