Olympics

It has been very fun to watch Abigail watching the Olympics this year.  She has been so cute!  So far we have watched the women's gymnastics, men's and women's swimming, and men's synchronized diving.


While we were watching the swimming, she couldn't believe that the men's team was "naked" because she kept seeing them from the waist up.  Also, she thought it was "amazing" when they dove off of the starting block.  Then she cheered saying, "Go, Boys!!" and "Go, Girls!!"


The women's gymnastics was the sport I thought that she would like the most because she takes gymnastics at daycare.  We watched the uneven bars and the balance beam and she decided really fast that she didn't think she could do what the gymnasts were doing on the balance beam (jumping, etc.).


Finally, we watched the men's synchronized diving last night.  She thought that was really cool, but couldn't figure out why they were only wearing their "underwear".


I can't wait to see how her comments change when she watches the next Summer Olympics in 2016.  (We'll see the difference in comments made by a 3 1/2 year old compared to a 7 1/2 year old.)

Happy 2nd Birthday, Abigail Kait!!!

Two years ago today, we were at Brookwood Hospital waiting to welcome a little girl into our world. Abigail Kait was born at 3:33 pm on November 17, 2008. We certainly weren't prepared for what came next -- the joy, the love, the sleepless nights. She is such an amazing, beautiful, loving little girl and we are so thankful to have her in our lives. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and the plan that God has for her life. Happy 2nd Birthday, Abigail Kait!
