8 Months Old!

Wow... time has really flown by. Abigail is now 8 months old. She is growing up really quickly and keeps learning more and more every day. She is really starting to show some personality. Here is what she is doing now:
  • She is pulling up on everything (including the tub in our bathroom) and she is trying her best to stand and walk. She will get her foot underneath her bottom and have her other foot down and try her best to stand up.
  • She is crawling everywhere and getting into everything! She wants to be in the floor crawling ALL THE TIME! She has gotten many bumps and bruises already!
  • She has figured out how to maneuver in her walker. She can go from room to room and has figured out how to turn and back up (most of the time).
  • We have only found a couple of foods that she hasn't seemed to like: Macaroni & Cheese and Papaya. She would take a bite and scream - so I assumed that she didn't like those.
  • Her 2 teeth are very visible now, but I still haven't gotten a picture. I'll have to try to sneak one this weekend.
  • She says "Da-da" all the time. She is saying what sounds like, "Hey, Da-da!" a lot too. And even though I've told Dustin that she isn't really saying Daddy, she does say it to get Dustin's attention. So, I'm beginning to come around - maybe she has figured it out. She also says something that seems to sound like "Mommy" every now and then.
I will post pictures later tonight or this weekend. She doesn't go back to the doctor until next month - so I don't have any stats this month. But I think she weighs around 18 pounds. We'll see after her 9 month check-up!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Abigail Kait!!!

Two years ago today, we were at Brookwood Hospital waiting to welcome a little girl into our world. Abigail Kait was born at 3:33 pm on November 17, 2008. We certainly weren't prepared for what came next -- the joy, the love, the sleepless nights. She is such an amazing, beautiful, loving little girl and we are so thankful to have her in our lives.
