Abigail played softball this Spring with Trussville Girls Softball Association. Her team was called the "Orange Crush." Here are a few pictures from her season and the end of the season bowling party.
I had a Parent/Teacher Conference for Abigail at Daycare yesterday. We had to say goodbye to Ms. Sincere' and Miss Katrina from her Toddler B class. I hope Ms. Shayla and Ms. Morgan in Twos know what they are in for, especially when Nora Layne (Abigail's best friend) moves up next week. Here are some things I learned about her: She knows some colors -- I knew this one already. She gets the color right about half of the time, especially if it's Yellow, Purple or Green -- apparently those are her favorites. She can count to ten, sort of. She skips 1 and has to count with you, but some times, she would say the number before I did. She can sing the ABC song. Of course, she doesn't get every letter correct (for example, "G" is "C" and " LMNOP " is gibberish ... "P!"), but she knows the tune and tries to say every letter. We love and miss you Granddaddy. Johnny Dewayne Kittle On September 9, 2014, Johnny Dewayne Kittle, a resident of Geraldine, passed away at the age of 55. While his time in this world was short for those he leaves behind, Johnny's impact on his family, his friends, and the community will never be forgotten. Johnny Kittle lived his life every day with passion. In his earlier years, Johnny could be found most any night in the woods, coon hunting. He served as President of the Sand Mountain Coon Hunters Association. His best times coon hunting were spent alongside his favorite Treeing Walker hound, Night Champion Kittle's Alabama Pride. Johnny was also an avid turkey hunter and deer hunter. He was co-founder of the Iron Gate Hunting Club and served as President. In his lifetime, Johnny took well over 50 gobblers. He harvested a 12 point and a 10 point buck, club records at the Iron Gate Hunting Club. As a businessman, Johnny
Two years ago today, we were at Brookwood Hospital waiting to welcome a little girl into our world. Abigail Kait was born at 3:33 pm on November 17, 2008. We certainly weren't prepared for what came next -- the joy, the love, the sleepless nights. She is such an amazing, beautiful, loving little girl and we are so thankful to have her in our lives. I can't wait to see what the future holds for her and the plan that God has for her life. Happy 2nd Birthday, Abigail Kait!
