We took Abigail to her first Fair when the DeKalb County VFW Fair was in Fort Payne.  She had such a great time.   Here are some pictures: With the prize winning pumpkins. Bubble Guppies ...

This weekend, Abigail posed a couple of questions about one of her favorite shows, Bubble Guppies. She wanted to know 1) When do the Bubble Guppies sleep and 2) When do the Bubble Guppies go potty?  She asked me and I was stumped on what to tell her, so I said, "Your daddy is really smart.  Why don't you go and ask him?"  She said "OK!" She walks into the living room where Dustin is and says, "Daddy, you're smart.  When do the Bubble Guppies sleep and when do they go potty?"  Dustin looks at me ... I just nod.  He says, "I think they sleep when you are sleeping and they go potty when you are not watching."  She thinks about this for a second and she agrees. I still can't believe that she thought about it so much that she had to ask us.  :o)

Olympics

It has been very fun to watch Abigail watching the Olympics this year.  She has been so cute!  So far we have watched the women's gymnastics, men's and women's swimming, and men's synchronized diving. While we were watching the swimming, she couldn't believe that the men's team was "naked" because she kept seeing them from the waist up.  Also, she thought it was "amazing" when they dove off of the starting block.  Then she cheered saying, "Go, Boys!!" and "Go, Girls!!" The women's gymnastics was the sport I thought that she would like the most because she takes gymnastics at daycare.  We watched the uneven bars and the balance beam and she decided really fast that she didn't think she could do what the gymnasts were doing on the balance beam (jumping, etc.). Finally, we watched the men's synchronized diving last night.  She thought that was really cool, but couldn't figure out why they were only weari...

Noccalula Falls

Abigail is spending some time with Meme, Granddaddy & Aunt Lala and Gran-Gran this week.  So, Gran-Gran decided to take everyone to Noccalula Falls in Gadsden.  Abigail got to spend some time there with her cousins Ty and Levi.  Casey sent us these pictures from their trip: Riding the Train around Noccalula. Oink Oink!!

"Corn Meat"

Abigail tried Corned Beef this week and loved it.  We had sandwiches one night, so I made her a Corned Beef sandwich.  She only wanted the meat, so she took it off of the bread.  After eating the first slice, she wanted another and another.  She had ate 3 slices of the Corned Beef and asked me for another slice.  So, I told her she would have to ask Daddy because there was only one slice left and it was supposed to be Daddy's.  She went and talked to Dustin.  When she came back out, she said -- Mommy, give me some Corn Meat!  I cracked up and said, what??  She said again -- Mommy, give me some CORN MEAT!!!  I was dying and she was looking at me like I had lost my mind.  Dustin had told her to tell me to give her some Corned Beef, but she thought he said Corn Meat.  Hilarious!

Princess vs. Tinkerbell

Image
This morning I asked Abigail if I could pull her hair back into a ponytail.  She answered, "No, Mommy because then I won't be a Princess - I'd be Tinkerbell." After comparing pictures, I guess she is kind of right.
